Covid 19 Update
Hi all, like so many other creatives, I'm not able to work during this time. The Brighton Fringe Festival has been postponed so I am unsure when I will be picking up the 'Importance of Human Connection' project or exhibiting 'The Brighton Girl Project' both were due to exhibit this year. Staying safe is far more important now so please stay well, stay home and as soon as things return to some sort of normal I will be photographing away! TTFN x
THE BRIGHTON FRINGE FESTIVAL
I started my first photography project 'The Brighton Girl Project' in February 2019 as a way of practising portrait photography. I never thought that it would lead to me meeting wonderful friends, inspiring women and gift me with my next photography venture.
I met Toni who runs The Social Society in late 2019 and she expressed an interest to work with me. After taking her portrait and a few meetings later, she pitched the idea for us to collaborate on a project showcasing the charities of Brighton.
The social society offers a volunteer subscription service helps connect charities with people and businesses who want to find purpose and be part of a social movement.
I will be photographing the people supported by the charities and the people that run them, creating positive social change and showcasing the importance of human connection. We will be exhibiting in the Brighton Fringe festival this May!
