This project started as a happy accident and taught me a lot about photography. I wanted to start learning how to photograph people but wasn't sure how to go about it or who to ask. That's when I found the Brighton girls page on Facebook. This social community was bringing girls who lived in Brighton together. It was perfect, plus I adore making new friends. I posted a notice needing faces to photograph and had over fifty girls apply within a few hours, I made it my mission to photograph these girls and give them the pictures to use as a thank you. The project expanded and within a year (whilst balancing a busy full time job!) I had managed to photography one hundred Brighton women. I was due to exhibit the project in 2020, however due to the Coronavirus Pandemic it needed to be put on hold. In April 2021 I launched the project as an online exhibition which you can view below, and am currently in talks to exhibit the project physically as part of an upcoming festival in 2022.
